I know for us locals we can tend to get a tad jaded by the same pubs, clubs and bars. However, I think I may have found the place to put the spring in your step - The Night Cat! Located in both the CBD and Fitzroy The Night Cat has live music from an array of genres such as Latin American, Afro-Cuban, Reggae and Funk. Even if you're not such a salsa dancer it is worth going just to experience the vibe and watch the dancers do their thing.
