Material World

With a Spring/Summer 11 collection that's already changed the way fashion sees knitwear, it's no surprise that Craig Lawrence is quickly becoming a well-talked-about kind of a guy. Only 26 years old, Lawrence is achieving big things with his new line which is set to be presented in London Fashion Week, February 19th. Moving away from the predominately gold palette he used in the AW 2010 line, Lawrence uses silver fabrics in ways unimaginable. To get a sneak peak at the line before it hits the runway check out www.craiglawrence.co.uk to view the entire collection. Keeping in fashion with all the other big names, Lawrence has produced a short film of the range which is bold and striking, the perfect accompanying accessory to any catwalk stopping collection.

Green sky

Long gone are the days when the sky was vast and blue! The Boskke Sky Planter is all about gardening for the modern botanist. So modern in fact that the plants are in the sky. A gravity defying pot plant is a great way to add a touch of nature to any home or office without compromising floor space! Created by Patrick Morris, ready grown plants are removed from their container and placed into a locking disc and mesh, which holds the soil in place. It has an internal reservoir system, which feeds water to the plant. Bye bye guilt and accusations of not watering the plants!

Wild Irish Rose

Today's Drink! post is in honour of my dear friend who is taking off in the next month to visit her Gallic homeland. Think rolling green fields, bonny lads and blue-eyed Irish lassies while sipping this luscious, alcoholic and refreshing cocktail. Sláinte!

2 oz. Irish whiskey
3/4 oz. lemon juice
1/2 oz. grenadine
2 oz. soda water
Pour all ingredients into an old-fashioned glass with 3/4 of a glass of broken ice. Stir, serve and drink!

Every nerds dream…

Sick of being bullied? Push up against a locker? Having your lunch money stolen?  Well here is your solution! Twin eight- year- old boys Jared and Justin Serovich of Columbus, Ohio have invented the world's first bully-proof underwear!
The ‘Rip Away 1000', is putting Bonds to shame as their underwear uses such advance technology. These undies make use of rigged boxers and fabric fasteners, which prevent the bully from hoisting it up. Thus avoiding a sorrowful wedgie!

Arise My Love

Arise My Love

I have been searching the interwebs high and low this week to find the incredibly rare and unbelievably gorgeous Mac eyeshadow in Crème De Menthe. In fact it's so lovely that once again I have run out after only a few months. Whilst my extensive search proved fruitless typing the words ‘crème de menthe' and ‘cocktail collection' into Google has provided me with much inspiration for this week's Drink! post.

So without further lamentations or celebrations over the illusive eyeshadow let's make the delightfully named ‘Arise My Love'. Who could resist such a charming and simple cocktail?

Pour 1 teaspoon of Crème de Menthe into a champagne flute. Fill flute with the champagne or sparkling of your choice. Drink!

PS - if anyone knows where I can find the aforementioned eyeshadow, there's a paper bag of unmarked currency with your name on it!
